About the Artist

Shari grew up surrounded by the beautiful tropical colors unique to Hawaii.  Her love of the ocean continued after moving to Oregon and discovering the Oregon Coast and Puget Sound.  These paintings express that beauty. Shari studied graphic design in college.  She has been painting for 13 years.  Painting anything from jewelry to children's furniture led Shari to discover her love of illustrating  landscapes and portraits.  It is one of her greatest passions.  Shari paints mostly with acrylics and oils in her home. Shari, her husband, two daughters, and dog live aboard their 49' sailboat in Olympia, Washington.  Besides painting, her energy is spent with family and friends, sailing, hiking, biking, thanking God, and hanging at the beach.
